Current & Recent Projects
|
Cannon Construction has been providing copper, data and fiber cabling systems since 1985. Before EIA/TIA was able to introduce today's industry standards, CCI was guiding customers through outside plant and premise cabling decisions with great success. Here are just a few of our recent accomplishments. (References furnished upon request.)

Verizon & Comcast Live Fiber Relocation Project
|
|
Phase one has been successfully completed ahead of schedule to relocate four live fiber optic cables for the SR 520 - Bellevue Way overpass rebuild project.
|
This scope of work on this project required the following:
Expose a CDF encased fiber duct bank for 300' Remove CDF & PVC off of four live fiber optic cables Set four utility poles and place strand Raise the four cables from underground and place aerial
This allowed for no outages or splicing while the new SR 520 / Bellevue Way overpass is being torn down and rebuilt.
The second phase will take place in 2012. We will be placing a new fiber optic six-way duct bank in the roadway and across the new overpass.

Great feedback for Team Cannon on our recently completed project at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam AFB in Honolulu, Hawaii!
|
| "After 36 years in the Telecommunication industry, with a focus for the majority of those years being in utility construction, a person gets to know the difference between quality, just get by, and downright poor work. I can honestly say that in all my years, I have never worked with a more conscientious, focused, well rounded group of hard workers like your men from Cannon Construction Inc.
It has been a real pleasure to work with men of this caliber. Their commitment to quality, safety, and correct installation practices has been excellent. There are many that I could single out and state examples of their superior work ethic, but they are too many to mention.
Suffice to say that, Mr. Marty Dinnan, who has been on this project from the beginning, has been an integral part of the successful completion of the OSP installation portion of this job. His efforts are to be commended!
Allow me to say "thank you" for a job well done. I hope that our paths will cross again someday in the future!"

Read the comments below from our on site QA. Great job in Fort Jackson Team Cannon!
|
"I am the QA here at Fort Jackson and I just wanted to take a quick minute to make a few comments about your Cannon Employees here on the base. Let me first say that I've been with 11 different I3MP base projects, both here in the US and in Germany. Based on what I've experienced here at Fort Jackson in the last two months or so, I've seen none better than your employees.
Your Cannon crew members have a very real sense of professionalism, as well as obvious personal pride in both their work and their company. From the first shovelful of dirt to the last sweep of the broom, they really get the job done with the final product of customer satisfaction being their primal goal. Believe me when I say they do make my job a lot easier.
Burt Wood, Andrew Smith and their OSP and ISP crews have won, not only the respect and admiration of the NEC personnel here on base, but with each different Ft. Jackson organization they interface with on a daily basis. Their attention to detail and continuous communication are outstanding.
I've been in the communications business for over 40 years, and it has been, and will continue to be, a real pleasure to work with the Cannon Construction crews here on Fort Jackson.
You should be proud of your guys....."
